Found in Friendship Care Services was born out of a deeply personal desire to bring a new level of compassion and integrity to the home care industry.
When the daughter of a close friend suffered a traumatic brain injury in a car accident, I watched the family bravely adapt to a new reality where caregiving became central to their lives. Despite immense challenges, this beautiful young girl proved inspirational with her remarkable determination to live life to the fullest.
As I admired the family’s resilience, I felt a strong desire to give something back. My goal was to create a model of home care that would enable her to live her best life while also giving her family the opportunity to be just that again; her family, not just her caregivers.
My career in aged care and disability services had given me a profound understanding of the challenges faced by those in the home care system. Through previous experience I knew that clients and staff were often reduced to mere numbers, with little opportunity to build stable, meaningful relationships. This fuelled my passion to build the strong, dedicated team that is now Found in Friendship Care Services.
